Cycle With Us

Join our community cycling sessions and discover the joy of being active, connected, and confident; on and off the bike.

Our Journey on Two Wheels

Cycling has been at the heart of Stepping Stones in the Community since our early days during the COVID-19 pandemic.

What began as a simple way to help local residents manage their mental health and stay active during lockdown quickly grew into one of our most loved community programmes.

We started by offering small, socially distanced rides in local parks using a few donated bikes. Today, we run weekly cycling sessions where residents of all ages can borrow our bikes, learn new skills, and enjoy the outdoors in a friendly, inclusive environment.

Our cycling initiative hasn’t just changed lives; it helped build SITC itself, shaping our mission of wellbeing, empowerment, and connection.

Why We Ride

  • Improved Wellbeing – Cycling helps reduce stress and boosts mental health.
  • Inclusive Access – Free bikes and safe spaces for everyone.
  • Community Growth – Builds friendships and breaks isolation.
  • Healthy Futures – Encourages regular exercise and positive habits.

"Adventure" Rides for Everyone!

Every week, we host free or low-cost cycling sessions across Sandwell and the West Midlands.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or a confident rider, you can:

  • Borrow one of our community bikes and helmet.
  • Ride safely in local parks and cycle routes.
  • Join a welcoming group of residents and volunteers

These sessions aren’t about speed — they’re about connection, health, and confidence.
